空屋基地台疑致5人癌死　居民抗議

台中市南屯區「斐翠名邸」社區共35戶，近5年來有5名住戶相繼罹癌過世，居民懷疑，社區後方一棟5層建物內裝設的中華電信基地台，長期釋放電磁波所致。
 
市議員張耀中接獲居民陳情，與位居住在此的劉姓屋主協調，但劉男表示，與中華電信已經簽約，若貿然撤除違約，將支付違約金，張耀中遂轉與中華電信協調。
 
中華電信表示，若屋主答應拆除基地台，將不收取違約金，不料，劉男以將減少1萬5千元月租金為由反悔，引發住戶不滿，今天上午前往空屋前拉白布條抗議。
 
居民表示，若屋主堅不撤除基地台，將發動更激烈抗爭。
