北京建工與英商簽約 逾12億美元發展航空城

北京建工集團有限責任公司(BCEG)今天(13日)與英國多家企業簽約，將共同發展曼徹斯特機場(Manchester airport)附近的商業區域。這項開發計畫被稱之為「航空城」(Airport City)發展計畫，佔地約46萬平方公尺，城內預計將會有新穎辦公大樓、高級飯店、尖端科技製造工廠、以及先進倉儲運輸業進駐。

曼徹斯特機場排名英國第三忙碌機場，這項週邊商區開發的航空城計畫，可以說是2012年倫敦奧運會以來，英國最大的工程開發案，總金額高達8億英鎊(約12.7億美元)

參與這項開發案的英國企業，包括有曼徹斯特機場管理處、曼徹斯特的退休基金單位GMPF、以及英國工程集團Carillion等，根據今天發出的共同聲明稿，北京建工集團將與這些英國企業合作，共同開發曼徹斯特機場週邊商圈。

目前人在大陸訪問的英國財政大臣財政大臣歐斯本(George Osborne)，在個人推特上，對這項英中合作開發案極為肯定，他並且希望能夠藉此增進兩國貿易，同時他也指出這項合作案，可望為該地區帶來1萬6,000個就業機會。

曼徹斯特機場每年進出的旅客超過2,000萬人次，位於不列顛島的西北部，曼徹斯特市人口約650萬人，約為英國總人口的8%。
