高雄市長陳菊今晚要求菲律賓政府立即公布真相並公開道歉，並給與傷亡家屬從優賠償，並向台灣保證未來絕不再發生類似事件。

陳菊說，不然她支持中央政府採取一切政治經濟手段包括凍結外勞、停止交流等，來維護台灣人民的權益。
