漫天白蟻有如災難片　看了皮膚都發癢

美國紐奧良周三(22日)晚間出現有如災難電影的場面，不是龍捲風或地震，而是到處都是密密麻麻的白蟻(Formosan termites)漫天飛舞，連雀鳥都停在原地棲息，暫時不飛上天。

只要是有光的地方，不論是車燈、街燈或家中燈泡，都會見到白蟻滿天飛。往常當地只會在5月初出現「飛蟻」，但由於今年天氣較冷加上空氣乾燥，一直延至周三才大規模「爆發」。白蟻飛入屋內，翅膀會脫落然後築巢繁殖，同時也會排出很強的酸性腐蝕家具、牆壁及地板等。
