從界面來說，它可說是一個完全新的 UI，由鎖定頁到每一個 Apple 程式的角落都大變了。打開鎖定頁時已經可以看到它使用了較幼的字體和類似 Android live wallpaper 的動態背景圖片，但不同的是，iOS 7 的背景是會根據用戶手的擺動而產生互動，有遠近影像的深淺效果。另外，在很多 Apple 程式內都會採用了透明的層次效果，所以用戶可以看到表面層以下在發生什麼事情，例如電郵裡的鍵盤（鍵盤都經重新設計）就採用了這種透視效果。

它將支援 iPhone 4 及其後代、iPad 2 及其後代、iPad mini 和第五代 iPod touch，很可惜地沒有聽到較舊裝置的名字。
