罕見美國古董金幣 逾458萬美元落槌

傳統拍賣公司(Heritage Auctions)10日證實，2枚美國古董硬幣在佛羅里達州的拍賣會上，以超過780萬美元落槌。

傳統拍賣公司指出，布拉瑟達布倫金幣(Brasher doubloon)是在1787年，由喬治．華盛頓(George Washington)的鄰居布拉瑟(Ephraim Brasher)所鑄造出的美國首批金幣，以458萬2,500美元的高價賣出。

至於在1913年由費城鑄造廠(Philadelphia Mint)生產的一枚鎳幣，則以330萬美元落槌。

傳統拍賣公司行政副總裁印何夫(Todd Imhof)說，極其著名的布拉瑟達布倫金幣，是美國史上最重要的硬幣之一，因為這是美國首度鑄造出的金幣，而且只有極少數流傳至今。

由布拉瑟鑄造的這枚金幣，之所以被稱為「達布倫」，是因為它的重量和美洲殖民地流行的西班牙硬幣達布倫(doubloon)大致相同。
