小摩被控濫用訴訟催討卡債

加州檢察長9日控告摩根大通（JPMorgan Chase），指控這家銀行濫用司法體系，企圖藉由大量提起「非法」訴訟，追討卡債。

加州檢察長哈莉斯（Kamala Harris）表示，小摩以大量「機器人簽名」（robo-signing）等非法手段，在至少三年期間對近10萬名加州信用卡用戶胡亂催收卡債。加州政府尋求對每一案件處以2,500美元民事罰款。

前一天摩根大通才表示，聯邦能源監管委員會（FERC）可能對其採取強制措施。FERC正調查該公司在某些能源市場的交易行為。

哈莉斯在訴狀中也指控，摩根大通要律師寄發信函給違約的卡戶，威脅他們如果不還債，就要對他們名下不動產採取法律行動，但律師連客戶的檔案都沒看，也不知道信函內容是否正確，就濫發催收信函。
