固特異走出低迷 11年首度發放股利

美國輪胎製造商固特異輪胎（Goodyear）歷經股價創新低、關廠裁員、賣掉其他事業、員工罷工後，終於擺脫低迷，宣布將恢復發放股利。

固特異20日宣布，12月1日將發放普通股股利，每股配發5美分，是2002年12月以來首次發放股利。固特異表示，為配合股利發放，也將實施總值1億美元的普通股庫藏股。買回的庫藏股將抵銷股權薪酬計畫所發行的股份。

固特異恢復發放股利，代表在席捲美國及全球的經濟衰退之際，固特異為轉虧為盈所付出的改造努力，終於展現成績。

從生產低毛利率的輪胎轉型成高階輪胎公司，是固特異近年最重要的成就之一。目前固特異生產的輪胎約四分之三售價在130美元以上。六年前，固特異的輪胎近四成零售價僅約60美元。高階輪胎體積大，製程複雜，但較具價格競爭力。
