4K2K超高解析度電視成為高階液晶電視新趨勢，韓系品牌三星Samsung於10/16宣布在台灣推出85吋Samsung S9 UHD(4K2K) TV，結合120W震撼音效和高速四核心處理器，號稱要重新界定高解析度電視，且訂價高達129萬元、鎖定高階消費市場。

台灣三星電子指出，這款訂價高達129萬元的85吋4K2K液晶電視Samsung S9 UHD TV（解析度為3820x2160、為一般1080p Full HD的4倍之多），即將自10/17起於指定通路-新光三越A8集雅社開放鑑賞，並自10/18起於指定百貨通路開放預訂，預計將在2013年12月初開始陸續出貨。

除了三星的85吋4K2K電視，其實更早之前、台灣市場就已經有多家品牌業者推出80吋以上的超級4K2K電視。例如2013年初、日本品牌SONY開始銷售首款84吋4K2K超高解析度液晶電視、價格約80萬元。而台灣本土品牌奇美液晶也在相近時點推出84吋4K2K電視、價格便宜很多。至於LG的84吋4K2K電視則是在今年9月於台灣正式上市，售價亦近80萬元。
