南韓媒體朝鮮日報日文版29日報導，根據南韓產業通商資源省公佈的資料顯示，因日圓走貶，令日本企業對南韓的投資熱潮急速冷卻，累計2013年1-9月期間日企對南韓的直接投資額僅19億6,307萬美元，較去年同期驟減了40%，投資額回復至2年前的水準，顯示日企已不再將南韓視為是具有魅力的投資標的。

報導指出，2011年發生311強震之後，因低廉的電費及嶄新的產業設備，吸引日企相繼搶進南韓進行投資，2011年日企對南韓的直接投資額年增10%至22億8,913萬美元，2012年的投資額更暴增99%至45億4,161萬美元、創史上新高水準。報導指出，日企對南韓的投資熱潮原先預估還能再持續一陣子，但沒想到該股熱潮僅維持1年時間(自2012年以來)就將終了。
