熱心志工徹夜追阻貨車　解救2800隻貓

【大陸中心╱綜合外電報導】湖北武漢一大學生，前天傍晚見街上有人將一個個載着貓隻的竹籠搬上一輛大貨車，懷疑有人非法販賣貓隻。當地動物保護組織義工接獲通知，即時到場了解。當晚9時許，貨車司機突然將載滿貓籠的貨車駛離。

義工們隨即開車跟上，並聯絡有關部門。民警兩小時後，在100多公里外的高速公路攔截貨車。司機表當時示車上有2800隻貓，於武漢收購後，全部會運往廣西南寧，聲稱目的是為馴養。

不過有知情者透露，貓隻極有可能成為餐廳的菜餚。義工見車上的貓隻擠在狹窄竹籠內，缺水缺糧，即時餵牠們貓糧及飲，不過部份貓咪已經喪命。當局後來更發現，貓販提供的「動物檢疫證明」是偽造證件。
