貝里斯總理夫人將訪台

應中華民國政府邀請，我加勒比海友邦貝里斯總理夫人芭珞（KimSimplis Barrow），於8月27日至9月1日訪台，拜會慈濟基金會證嚴法師，並參訪財團法人創世社會福利基金會和台北市立文山特殊教育學校。

外交部指出，芭珞身兼貝國「婦幼特使」、國際特殊奧林匹克大使及生命線基金會執行長，長期致力關懷貝國婦女、幼童及弱勢族群。此行希望了解台灣推動照護弱勢團體的現況及非政府組織的運作模式，深化台貝高層情誼及兩國邦誼，擴大雙邊人道公益事業的合作範疇。
