Visa上季淨利銳減28% 因提列大筆稅金

全球最大簽帳金融卡與信用卡支付處理業者威士（Visa）因提列大筆稅金，上季淨利銳減28%，並表示看淡經濟復甦前景。

威士表示，迄9月底止的年度第4季期間，淨利為11.9億美元或每股1.86美元，低於去年同期的16.6億美元或每股2.48美元；分析師原估每股盈餘為1.85美元。

上季營收則增加近9%至29.7億美元，但不如分析師預期的30.2億美元。

不過，威士支付系統上季經手的金額攀升13%，達1.1兆美元。

威士上季提列5.74億美元稅金，是獲利減少的主因，不同於去年同期享有7,400萬美元稅務優惠的情況。

財務長波利特（Byron Pollitt）說，美國交易的成長在8到9月間減緩，顯示消費支出受到壓抑，與同期間經濟數據呈現的趨勢吻合。

威士以「美國經濟復甦遲緩」為前提，制定公司營運計畫。執行長沙爾夫（Charlie Scharf）說：「我們確實認為，有朝一日將因經濟成長轉強而受惠，只是那天還不知何時會到來。」
