【夏至賢／綜合報導】田中將大決定赴美，引發洋基、響尾蛇和水手等隊的搶人戰，面對新挑戰，他輕鬆表示，「高爾夫的宮里美香說，在國外最重要的是味噌湯，我也很愛喝，所以會帶著去美國。」

今天出刊的《蘋果》報導，田中將大昨獲日本體育界的年度最大獎「職業運動大賞」，儘管田中搶下日職年度防禦率王、勝投手和勝率王，還獲金手套、最佳十人獎、澤村賞和正力賞，但這些獎項都不如「職業運動大賞」地位崇高。

至於已開跑的「搶田中大戰」，洋基一直是最積極一隊，甚至放話要把王牌先發位置讓給他，響尾蛇則有意讓他投3月23日的澳洲海外開幕戰，但不少媒體認為，網羅過多位日籍選手，且老闆是任天堂的水手，才是洋基最大對手。
