警員蓄髮被處分 警署：無關性別

一名男警不滿蓄髮被單位處分，向立委投訴、開記者會抨擊警政署「性別歧視」；警政署今天表示，警察人員穿著制服代表國家行使公權力，必須考量社會大眾觀感；規範儀容、禮節，是為整體警察紀律與形象，與性別無關。

「個人自我認同，不該凌駕團體認同之上。」警政署強調，一直很重視性別平權、尊重每位員警的性別傾向，但也希望所有員警尊重這分職業，應服從符合社會大眾期待的紀律和團隊要求。

至於立委要求刪除男警不得蓄長髮規定，警政署表示會「審慎研究」，但強調任何規定都是一體適用，滿街執勤的男警察都留長髮，「社會能接受嗎」？
