Google讓步給對手空間 與歐盟反壟斷協議將順利和解？

《CNNMoney》周二 (1日) 報導，網路搜尋龍頭 Google Inc. ((US-GOOG)) 現正式同意，在自家搜索結果給予對手更多空間，與歐盟就反壟斷協議達成和解之日，看來亦不遠矣。

歐盟委員會競爭事務主委 Joaquín Almunia 表示，經過長期調查後發現 Google 有違反競爭法之嫌，然歡迎 Google 同意做出改進，不再讓搜尋結果偏袒自家關係業者。

公司今 (2013) 年稍早試圖緩頰，消解市場相關疑慮，然而競爭對手仍猛烈批評，監管機構亦要求 Google 找出確實解決之道。

根據 Almunia 所言：「Google 現已改善先前提出的承諾內容，我想和解流程正朝向最好的發展前進，Google 搜尋結果頁面為他人提供了更多空間。」 Google 最新改善作法，將讓競爭對手的網站、服務和搜尋引擎更加顯眼，同業者可於連結周遭設置商標，動態文字也將展現更多其他業者訊息。

Almunia 將此發展稱為 3 年來的「關鍵時刻」，例如微軟 ((US-MSFT))、 網路旅遊巨頭 Expedia ((US-EXPE)) 等競爭對手，對於 Google 主宰網路搜索景況不滿已久。

Google 的處境堪慮，若公司未能遵守其承諾，歐盟委員會有權處以全球營收 10％ 的鉅額罰款。
