台中市一德新村綠美化動工

   【黃任膺／台中報導】位於台中市北屯區太原路三段269巷內的原眷村「一德新村」拆除後土地閒置荒廢，2009年依眷改條例實施而拆除，土地為國防部所有，目前土地上尚有文化古蹟林懋陽故居、一德洋樓及部分眷村建築，但因缺乏管理，空地閒置多年、雜草叢生，經多方爭取，國防部已同意由市府代管，市府建設局今日動土做綠美化工程，規劃大面積草坪及設置活動遊戲區、運動設施等，面積0.95公頃，預計明年1月完工。
 
市府建設局長吳世瑋表示，建設局將保留舊有歷史記憶，以原有眷村路線作規劃，於一德洋樓四周規劃開闊性較高的草坪活動區、基地西側設置林蔭休憩區、南側設置兒童及體健設施區，並種植喬木，使民眾能休憩乘涼，完工後帶有眷村色彩及綠美化色彩，提供多元的遊憩及休憩空間。
