韓流壓境！谷歌(Google Inc.)繼2011年在YouTube視訊分享網站創立「K-pop」韓國流行音樂頻道、「江南Style」騎馬舞影片使韓國熱浪席捲全球後，今(30)日再度與南韓政府合作，要在全世界推廣韓文。

韓國聯合通訊社(Yonhap)30日報導，谷歌與南韓文化觀光部 (Minister of Culture and Tourism)敲定協議，將攜手創立線上教育頻道，在網路上推廣韓文。谷歌執行董事長Eric Schmidt 30日在訪問南韓時表示，他很開心能夠學習、並與全世界分享韓國豐富的文化內容。

谷歌在2011年與南韓文化觀光部簽訂合約後，便創立了K-POP頻道，希望在線上推廣南韓文化，而此舉也讓南韓流行音樂在亞洲、歐洲與美洲地區爭大為盛行。Schmidt 30日說，南韓流行音樂現在到處都是，連他也必須學會跳騎馬舞。他並指出，K-pop頻道的影片目前有近90%的觀賞者來自南韓以外地區。

「江南Style」音樂錄影帶自從在2012年7月5日首度上傳至YouTube之後，點閱率至今已超過18億次。此外，谷歌也在YouTube上建立一個專播南韓老片的電影頻道，現在平均每天可從160個國家吸引到2,700次的觀賞次數，進一步將南韓文化推廣至全球。
