【動新聞】大聯盟球探駐台　發掘台灣金臂人

【突發中心╱台北報導】棒球是台灣的國球，每年全台有成千上百的三級棒球選手投入比賽，希望得到球探慧眼，循著陳偉殷、郭泓志、王建民等人的步伐，獲網羅登上大聯盟，成為發光發熱的台灣之光，而尋找這些職棒新星的伯樂，就是各球隊的球探，目前包括洋基、紅襪、道奇、雙城等13支國外知名球隊，都有球探派駐在台，專門到各地觀察青少棒球賽，發掘新秀。
 
目前擔任美國雙城隊球探的Cary Broder（38歲），原為大學講師，因熱愛棒球投身球探工作，7年前他來台開始發掘具有潛力的棒球新秀。Cary向《蘋果》表示，剛開始每天看球鑽研，並向球探友人討教，經過一年時間，恰好故鄉球隊明尼蘇達雙城需要亞洲區球探，便把握機會轉行，「現在一年最少要看500場球賽。」
