美泰兒針對中國廠剝削勞工指控展開調查

生產芭比娃娃、風火輪卡車的美國玩具製造商美泰兒（Mattel）16日出面回應勞工權益組織的指控，表示正針對有關其中國廠剝削勞工、違反當地法規的消息進行調查。

美泰兒發言人說，極度關切為美泰兒製造產品的勞工福祉，在相關調查完成後，將採取必要行動，將保留與違規工廠解約的權力，並強調公司平時就會定期查驗旗下的廠房，以確保一切正常。

中國勞工觀察15日發布報告，指出秘密調查美泰兒六家中國廠後，發現這些工廠的員工超時工作、被苛扣薪資，且防護措施與休息空間不足， 例如每日站立工作時間長達10到13個小時，遠超過法定的九小時，某些廠房防火通道堵塞、緊急疏散出口被鎖住等。

中國勞工觀察表示，美泰兒共違反18條道德與法律規定。

美泰兒是全球最大玩具製造商，在中國有四家自營工廠，並與當地約30到40家承包商合作。中國勞工觀察調查範圍包括自營工廠與承包商。
